Psychologists Discover How People Subconsciously Become Their Favorite Fictional Characters
Psychologists have discovered that while reading a book or story, people are prone to subconsciously adopt their behavior, thoughts, beliefs and internal responses to that of fictional characters as if they were their own.
Experts have dubbed this subconscious phenomenon ‘experience-taking,’ where people actually change their own behaviors and thoughts to match those of a fictional character that they can identify with.

I freaking love psychology

….this is a little disconcerting considering who some of my favorite fictional characters are.

oh wow, this is cool

So I am perfectly correct when I say I’m like a real life Prussia XD

This is so cool.So basically I should pick a book with a main character I want to be like

this is interesting, I mean lots of kids have role models they want to emulate right? there have been times where I’ve thought “I really need to start acting more like so-and-so, what would they do in this situation” and then try to do that and it works out, but then I wind up forgetting eventually :(

I do this like EVERY DAY, subconsciously- and then I either feel terrified or just okay with it. I talked about this to my friends a few days back- but for me it doesn’t really work like you could just choose the character you wanna be like, I just identify easily with some characters, even if I didn’t want to :>

Oh man, this. Yes.
It also might apply to RP characters to some extent - at least how it has felt to me.

How to refer to people with different genders

tarblood:

                          Girl / Boy / ???

English: she/ he / them (hir [unofficial])

Swedish:
hon / han / hen [is this official?]

Finnish: hän / hän / hän

Welcome to Finland, folks who hate gender pronouns. We treat you all with same word. Hän.

Why are so many languages so hard with all those gender stuffs?? We can even call people “it” in Finnish and it’s okay.

[smell the fact that I’m annoyed. If I did mistakes, well please correct me okay?]

I think “it” (or “se” as in Finnish) is more common in a casual conversation. I tend to use that word more than “hän”.
